Conversion Copy That Connects
Welcome to Bliss Content Marketing!
I’m Hazel.
I write copy for clients who want to create mentoring relationships with their customers.
Relationships that acknowledge, “You are the hero in your own life. I am here to cheer you on. To encourage you, empower you, hold space for you, and shine a light for you.”
There are times when a long-form sales letter is the best tool for the job:
- After you’ve created a caring connection,
- As a reminder of all the reasons your hero needs to say “Yes” to the call of action and adventure,
- As a slippery slide to help them overcome their fear and act in the emotion of the moment.
I am excited to help you write that sales letter, when the time is right!
But like courtship, good marketing requires a solid foundation of relationship before you consummate the marriage– or ask for the sale.
Content marketing allows for that relationship to grow.
Effective drip marketing is like a sales letter turned on it’s side.
It moves at a slower pace. One your reader can keep up with.
Rather than taking your client from Pain Aware through Product Aware With High Intent to Buy in one long, persuasive sales letter full of emotional triggers, (catch your breath!) . . .
I help you establish the critical elements of Know, Like, and Trust . . . as you nurture your ideal prospect . . . through marketing that mentors them . . . through the choices and the changes they are navigating.
In the spirit of They Ask You Answer, by Marcus Sheridan, I help you create connection, clarity, and confidence in your prospect’s mind through content that educates and uplifts.
I position you as the expert authority they WILL turn to when they are ready to buy, your name synonymous with the transformation they desire.
Generous content marketing is a powerful tool for demonstrating your expertise and your empathy. For positioning yourself as the company that cares.
Because people don’t care what you know until they know that you care.
And once they’ve found a company that knows its stuff and cares, that’s the company they want to do business with.
That’s the company I want to do business with.
You’re not in business just for the money. You’re in it to make your difference in the world, one life at a time.
Like the beach-walker, throwing sea stars back into the ocean so they don’t tragically die on the shore, you are undeterred by the statistics wielded by naysayers, telling you “The problem is too big to get our arms around; there are just too many to help; why even bother? There’s no way we can make a meaningful difference.”
Au contraire; for each life you save, you say, “It made a difference to that one.”
From a young age, I have been seeking ways to make my difference in the world, one life at a time.
For a while, I thought my foray in studying marketing and learning copywriting was just a stepping stone to afford me the life of my dreams. A pedestrian activity that could set me up to do truly noble work.
But I ask myself now if perhaps this is the noble work.
I have acquired a set of skills that, well-executed, enables me to change the world in meaningful ways, far beyond my own bottom line.
I want to share those skills with you and your life-giving, transformational enterprise.
Copy is an amazingly powerful vehicle that can personally impact one life, or thousands.
In this moment, and for decades to come.
Because in many ways, the written word is the proverbial gift that keeps on giving.
Unlike a quilt or a meal or any other expression of our heart and hands, a thoughtfully documented message brings timeless, personal presence to everyone who reads it.
Unlike a sales pitch or a time-sensitive promotion, evergreen content is an investment for the long-haul. You don’t replace it, you just keep adding to it.
By tuning in to your One Reader and answering the question they’re asking today, being the resource they seek at this point in their journey, you shower them with hope and help along the way.
You mentor them.
You create a meaningful connection and a tie that binds.
At the same time, you’re creating an encyclopedic resource to encourage all the seekers who find it in the years to come. People who value your input and discover your expertise. Who join your tribe and become your customers. Who refer their friends and become your raving fans.
Bliss Content Marketing. Mentoring the sale through relationship-based marketing. When you serve your customer well, you serve your business even better.

When I’m not writing copy, I am a Dare to Dream mentor for a new mom aging out of foster care; the Director of Community Relations on the founding board of Olympic Angels, a nonprofit wrapping community around kids in foster care and the families who take care of them; President of Jefferson County Toastmasters Club; a Health Unit Coordinator at Jefferson Healthcare, a critical access hospital in Port Townsend, Washington; grateful mom of four great, grown children who teach me as much as I’ve ever taught them; and dog mom to Levi, our Khaki Beagle, and Leilua, our Labradoodle-Dalmation mix, who overwhelm me with their excitement for food, friends, and fun, and get me out of the house every day, rain or shine.
